Oval and Club Can Vacuum Seaming Machine: Mass Flow Kinematics & Sizing
Engineering guide for Club Can Seamer focusing on mass flow kinematics & sizing:...

A clean-in-place system is specified for defined process circuits rather than for a factory name alone. Start by listing the tanks, pipelines and equipment to be cleaned, then identify their supply and return paths. Review the cleaning system, connected equipment and approved procedure as one project.
The relevant application is a compatible liquid-processing circuit, such as liquid preparation, transfer or a filling supply circuit. Not every machine in a canning plant belongs in the same CIP loop. Identify equipment requiring dismantling or separate cleaning in the project scope.
For each circuit, record product residue, materials, piping route, connections, cleaning devices and return arrangement. Mark the boundary on the process drawing so that responsibility is clear for each branch and component.
| Element | Project review |
|---|---|
| Liquid storage | Required cleaning liquids, tank arrangement, segregation and handling. |
| Supply and return | Pumps, connected circuits, return route and drainage. |
| Heating and utilities | Required cleaning duty and site utilities. |
| Valves and distribution | Circuit selection, isolation and operating sequence. |
| Measurement | Temperature, conductivity, level and other agreed monitoring requirements. |
| Control and records | Approved programmes, operator actions, alarms and records. |
The sequence depends on residue, equipment, cleaning chemicals and operating conditions. State who approves the procedure and who verifies the result. A catalogue sequence should not be used as a universal operating instruction for different recipes and circuits.
Identify material compatibility, chemical handling, inspection access and waste-disposal interfaces. These requirements form part of the site-specific cleaning plan.
Define CIP supply, return, water, heating utility, electricity, drain and control interfaces. Confirm which equipment can receive the agreed cleaning duty and how the circuit is isolated from production. Include the limiting return path in the engineering review.
Use the canning production line overview to describe the wider project. Send the process information for review with the equipment duty, operating conditions and connection requirements.
